Add-on courses is a unique scheme of UGC to add on skills & increase employability & entrepreneurship to conventional courses in the liberal arts stream. A student enrolled in BA.I may opt for any one/any two of the following courses. |
| Aviation, Hospitality & Catering |

With an exponential growth
in the aviation and hospitality industry, the demand for trained
professionals is at its peak. This add-on course would provide a sound
knowledge base and training in aviation, ground services, hospitality
services, personal grooming, first aid and hotel or air catering, diet
patterns and variations etc. |
| Clinical Diagnostic Techniques |

Though prevention is better
than cure but cure sustains on accurate diagnostics. The hospital
industry is largely dependant on clinical& pathological labs and
diagnostic centres. Thus, this add on course would equip a student for a
career in one of the most upcoming service sectors. |
| Cosmetology |
| In this age of beauty culture, a trained professional in cosmetology would walk in the job market with comparative ease or set up one’s own saloon or spa. A creative and challenging field, this would make you part of a booming and buzzing arena of personal grooming. The beauty practitioners and aestheticians would be trained in skills of beauty treatments and therapy, hair care and hair dressing, make up, nail and tatoo art; lifestyle diets, yoga and fitness regimens and de-stressing techniques. |
| Communication Skills |

In the highly competitive career world none can deny the significance of communication skills - speech, writing, listening & grammar. This course would prove to be a boon for students pursuing any other stream, as it would focus on intensive training in theory & practicals in the state-of-the-art Language Lab.

| COMMON ORDINANCE FOR ‘ADD-ON COURSES’ |

The Certificate/ Diploma/
Advanced Diploma course is open to regular student of college at any
level. SCHEME OF INSTRUCTION-EXAMINATION-QUALIFYING MARKS 75% attendance in the theory and practical separately is necessary for eligibility to appear in examinations. The min. pass percentage will be 35%. No compartment cases will be entertained. House Test will be conducted as per GNDU norms. Certificate/ Diploma/ Advanced Diploma in Career Oriented Programmes will be awarded. The other ordinances shall be the same as other degree courses. |
