The college being a progressive and dynamic enterprise, always looks out for new avenues and vistas which can increase the employability of the young aspirants and offer them courses that are compatible with surge in demand of trained professionals in various sectors. The new academic session has the following new courses for the students:

Masters in Media Studies & Production (Approved by U.G.C., New Delhi & G.N.D.U., Amritsar)

Eligibility: Graduation in any stream with min. 50% marks. Seats: 25 Considering the boom in the telecast & broadcast media, the college has introduced UGC sanctioned course i.e. Masters in Media Studies and Production, with greater focus on production techniques & project work. Other than the challenging journalistic skills, the masters programme would enhance communication and personality skills including voice modulations, anchoring, hosting, data and trends analysis, investigative assignments and also technical aspects and formatting for electronic media.

PG Diploma in Air Travel Services

Eligibility: Graduation with min. 45 percent marks in aggregate. This diploma provides education and training to become skilled professionals in various careers available in tourism and travel industry like jobs in airlines/ travel agencies, and tour operations etc. The course covers an intensive study in geography, computers, aviation, communication skills, personality development & grooming , air routes ,tourism& business management, products and marketing, fares and ticketing and other travel agency operations ,including practical training at the airport.

One Year Diploma in Air Hostess & Air Steward Training

Eligibility: 10+2 with min. 45 percent marks (Applicant should be physically fit with a pleasing personality and a clear complexion) No. of Seats : 20 The Indian aviation and hospitality sectors are on cloud nine with the major players making a foray into the vibrant air industry. This has triggered the demand for trained cabin crew and the ground services staff not only in domestic airlines but also in international carriers. The emerging scenario has prompted the Guru Nanak Dev University to start the Diploma in Air Hostess & Air Steward Training. If you have a penchant for flying, visiting different places, interacting with different kinds of people on board and for very attractive pay package, then this is the right career option for you. A highly demanding career, it requires a lot of patience, courage of conviction and a strong sense of commitment. This course would impart training in technical aspects of aircraft operations, personality development, personal grooming, social skills, communication skills and hospitality training. Job Prospects and Career Options : An Air Hostess has every chance to be promoted to the post of Senior Flight Attendant and then Head Attendant. Advertisements for recruitment normally appear in all major newspapers and the college placement cell would also help in making inroads in leading airlines. Remunerations : A highly remunerative career where salary and other allowances touch more than five figures per month.

B.Sc. with Bioinformatics

Eligibility : 10+2 with 40 percent marks in the concerned group Bioinformatics describes any use of computers to handle biological information and to characterize the molecular components of living things. The greatest achievement of bioinformatics methods, the Human Genome Project, is currently being completed. Because of this the nature and priorities of bioinformatics research and applications are changing. People often talk portentously of our living in the ‘post-genomic’ era. What some people refer to as research or medical informatics, the management of all biomedical experimental data associated with particular molecules or patients — from mass spectroscopy, to in vitro assays to clinical side-effects—will move from the concern of those working in drug company and hospital IT (Information Technology) into the mainstream of cell and molecular biology and migrate from the commercial and clinical to academic sectors. A course in Bioinformatics, an upcoming field would open great avenues in teaching and research.

BBA (Bachelor in Business Administration)

Eligibility : +2 with at least 40 percent marks. No. of Seats : 40 If MBA is your dream career and you wish to crack CAT, MAT or GMAT, then BBA is a more streamlined course, that the college has initiated from the academic session 2006-07.
