Part I First come first serve cum merit, all 10+2 appeared can seek admission. Refund of full fees in case of failure/ compartment. Confirmation of admission, on declaration of result Admission open for all classes without late fee up to 4th July.
Teaching begins from 8th July for new entrants and from 10th July for all other classes.

  • With late fee Rs.50 - July 5 to July 14, 2011.
  • With late fee Rs.100 - July 15 to July 29, 2011 (with the permission of Dean, Academic Affairs).
  • With late fee Rs.1000 - July 30 to Aug.30, 2011 (with the permission of Vice-Chancellor).
  • With late fee Rs.5000 - Aug.31 to Sep.9, 2011 (with the permission of the Syndicate).
  • Teaching begins w.e.f. July 8, 2011.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE
  • The parents are required to read the Prospectus before signing the form. Once the form is signed, the total responsibility of having read the rules and regulations, shall lie upon them.
    The student should -
    - purchase the Prospectus and read it carefully.
    - fill the form neatly and completely.
    - get it signed from her parents/guardian.
    - get it checked from the Subject Verification Board.
    - face interview conducted by the admission board for seeking admission.
  • Subjects will be given on FIRST COME FIRST SERVE CUM MERIT basis, and as per availability.
  • Students who have been on the rolls in the previous year will lose their claim, on late arrival.
  • Admitted students will pay the fee at the fee counter on the same day and deposit the form at the same counter.
  • In case of delay in the payment of fees, the form will need re-validation by the incharge of Admission Board.
  • Subjects taken may be changed the next day, provided the seats are available.
  • Submit the photographs in the office to collect the identity card. Old students are required to deposit 3 Black & White & 3 coloured photographs and new students 5 Black & White & 5 coloured photographs.
DOCUMENTS NEEDED AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION
  • Original Certificates and Marks Sheet of the lower examination passed. Attach attested photocopies with the Admission Form.
  • Registration Card (old students only).
  • Character Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended (for new students only).
  • Scheduled Caste/ Tribe/ Backward Class students must attach certificates from the competent authority; outstanding players, speakers, singers, dancers, fine artists and best-in-acting, require supporting certificates.
  • Original Migration Certificates & Eligibility Certificate issued by GNDU to students who have passed lower examination from Board/ University other than Punjab Board/ GNDU.
  • Provisional admission without submission of required certificates may be given at the risk of the students, in rare circumstances.
  • Foreign students will have to submit complete documents, including the details of student visa.
ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS FOR ADMISSION
  • Those students who have passed the lower examination from some other board/university (other than Punjab University, Punjabi University and Punjab School Education Board) will have to obtain eligibility certificate from the Guru Nanak Dev University, within one month of admission.
  • For obtaining eligibility certificate, a student has to fill in the requisite proforma with Rs. 100/- as fees and attach the following certificates.
    a) The original certificate with detailed marks card.
    b) Migration certificate from the concerned university/board. (A student can apply for eligibility certificate even if she has not received migration certificate so far).
    c) Attested copy of entrance test card of selection list. (Only for those courses/classes where admission is based on entrance test).
    d) Category certificate issued by Gazetted Officer (like SC/BC) and Punjab Domicile Certificate/Residence Certificate.
  • Those students who have passed the lower examination from Punjabi/Punjab University or PSEB are exempted from obtaining eligibility certificate, but they have to submit all the above-mentioned original documents by the given dates.
  • Those students who have passed the lower examination i.e. intermediate from Bihar Intermediate Education Council, Patna will have to submit Admit Card, Transfer/Character Certificate from the college/school, issued by council, other than the above-mentioned certificates.
  • Those students who have passed SSC Part-II from National Open School, New Delhi, in four subjects ( including English ) and which is cleared within two years after matriculation, can be given provisional admission in BA/B Sc ( Pass Courses). Such a student will have to clear the remaining fifth, within a particular group, in the forthcoming supplementary or annual examination, otherwise in pursuance of higher course.
  • Syndicate in its meeting on 24-02-1997 has passed through para 89 - that the students who have obtained the bachelor's degree before 1991 in the old(14 year) stream, they will be treated at par with ( 10+2+3) stream in pursuance of higher courses.
    Students coming from other states will be allowed to take up Punjab History & Culture in lieu of Punjabi as per rules given in 33(6) of University calendar. For clarification, contact college office.
  • The foreign students would be given admission if only they have student visa, not on the basis of any other visa. He/she will have to submit a recognition certificate of the examination passed from Association of Indian Universities, Kotla Marg, New Delhi. This is mandatory for obtaining eligibility certificate.
