Title: BBK DAV welcomes the campaigners of 'Walk of Hope'

BBK DAV College for Women welcomed Shri M and his fellow campaigners of Walk of Hope at Urvi auditorium. Shri M, the leader of the campaign ‘Walk of Hope’ visited the college to spread the message of oneness.

Welcoming the distinguished guests, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia said that the college has always stood by the cause of social regeneration. The Principal added that Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati spent his whole life for various noble causes, such as social unity, women upliftment and she further added that this walk is a continuation of the causes espoused by Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati and Mahatma Hans Raj.

Addressing the gathering, Shri M said that he and his fellow campaigners started this walk on 12th January 2015 from Kanyakumari and would end it in Kashmir. He added that the purpose of this walk is to bring about social unity in the country. He further said that schools and colleges are the nurturing grounds of future leaders. Only good leaders can prevent India from a social split. He added that India is the spiritual leader of the world. In an interactive session with the students, Shri M answered queries of the students and gave them valuable suggestions.

During the event, Sh. J.K. Luthra, Honorary Treasurer, DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi, said that Punjab is the land of Vedas and Gurbani and people of Punjab have given a lot of sacrifices to maintain the unity and integrity of this country.

Sh. Sudershan Kapoor, Chairman, Local Managing Committee, thanked Shri M for choosing BBK DAV as a platform to spread the noble message.
